For some of these athletes who haven't been in a World Cup, and won't be in one this winter, this is their chance to maybe go from not being in the World Cup to going to the Olympics.

Certainly, there were three gold medals we could've potentially won. That's why you play the game, though.

I guess this one because it was the last one.

I'm optimistic. It's easy to be optimistic when you're a year out, 18 months out. But with the group we've got here, they're still skiing great right up to the Olympics, so I'm still feeling good about it.

It's difficult because Americans do things far differently. The athletes have rights. They qualify via criteria. It's not the way that some of these other nations do things, where they just take people and say, 'You're going to do this.' It's a challenge for us to keep up with that.

It just takes time. It's an extremely difficult sport.

It was good. He wasn't that far off. If he could have left his feet just a little bit behind him, he would have stuck it and he'd probably be an Olympic champion.

A lot of people made the assumption that it was in the bank, but it wasn't. I thought Jeremy handled the pressure extraordinarily well. His run was quite good, he just made a little error and it ended up costing us.

This is not the way we drew it up this morning, that's for sure.

Aerials under the lights will be a little more unpredictable. Safety's always the primary consideration, but I think the athletes are anxious to get through it.
